Founded in King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia in the academic year of 2004. The Saudi Association for Statistical Sciences (SASS) is the first and only professional association in the country. The SASS founders demonstrated an early commitment to statistical science in service to public welfare.
The SASS also intend to be a local and a global leader in promoting statistical practice, applications, and research; publishing top level statistical journals and organizing scientific meetings and doing so at minimal cost to its members; improving statistical education and advancing the statistics profession. The SASS will keep the same tradition of promoting excellence in statistics and all its applications with the help of its respected members and supporters.
